The Ultra Brightening Accelerator Treatment begins with a thorough consultation to analyse the skin type, concerns, and suitability for the treatment.
An exfoliation step involves applying a chemical exfoliant, such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs). This removes dead skin cells and promotes cell turnover, smoothing the skin’s surface and enhancing the effectiveness of subsequent products.
After exfoliation, a blend of brightening agents, vitamin C, niacinamide and licorice extract, is applied to target pigmentation, dark spots, and overall skin tone irregularities.
A brightening or hydrating mask is then applied to soothe and nourish the skin to allow the active ingredients to work effectively.
Post-treatment care instructions, including recommendations for skincare products to maintain and enhance the treatment results are provided. Patients are advised to avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen daily to protect their skin.

Ultra Brightening Accelerator Treatment is not ideal for someone with the following characteristics:
- Roaccutane
- Recent facial surgery (within the last 12 months)
- Open wounds of any kind, eczema, dermatitis or active rosacea
- Active Herpes Simplex (cold sores)
- Cancer or radiation therapy
- Sunburn in area to be treated
- Recent waxing, IPL, laser therapy or injectable treatments (within the last week)
Note: Please inform your dermal therapist if you are prone to cold sores.
For the best results we recommend a minimum of 4 treatments performed fortnightly in conjunction with a fully personalised skin care program. Once the desired results are achieved, maintenance treatments are recommended every 2-3 months.
During the treatment you will experience ‘flushing’ (the rapid onset of feeling heat), which is a result of the actives penetrating through to the epidermis.
Most skin will experience mild pink/redness initially and slight inflammation for 10-30 minutes. Some skin may also experience mild flaking 1-2 days after the treatment mask however, this is not necessary for the treatment to work.
Note: Makeup may be worn straight after treatment making this the perfect lunchtime peel.
For the next 3-5 days following treatment:
- Do not exfoliate or pick at peeling skin
- Do not use products containing AHA’s, BHA’s, Vitamin A (Retinol), astringents or exfoliating granules
- Avoid vigorous exercise, saunas, chlorinated and salt water pools, steam baths and hot showers for 48 hours following your treatment
- Do not expose the skin to sun
- Avoid waxing, IPL, laser or depilatory creams for 2 weeks following your treatment
- Apply a sunscreen daily
- Apply moisturiser as requested (skin is best to remain moist during this time)
- Avoid applying tanning products for 2 weeks following your treatment
