PROCEDURE
A topical numbing cream is applied first, to ensure your lips are numb prior to treatment. Every patient is unique and will want to achieve a slightly different result. Your Academy Face and Body clinician will guide you in terms of how much lip filler you will require. Generally, less is more, and a gradual approach will work best. The good news is that if you’re unhappy with your results, they can be easily reversed using a dissolving enzyme.
However, it’s always easier to add a little at a time until you can gather an idea of how your lips will look and how they will respond to treatment.
Lip filler results will differ for each patient. Generally, lip injections will last seven to ten months. This can be longer for some patients and shorter for others. Results will depend on individual circumstances, lifestyle factors and the type and the amount of fillers used. Results are immediately noticeable, although, the filler may take two weeks to fully settle.
