Medlite C6 Laser Toning Peel is a non-ablative skin rejuvenation treatment that enhances your skin’s quality and texture while leaving the epidermis intact. This innovative procedure leverages specific light wavelengths to trigger the skin’s natural repair processes, generating deep heat within the dermal layers for a toning effect on the surface.
One of the benefits of laser toning is its ability to soften fibrous scar tissue, visibly improving depressed scars and wrinkles from the inside out. By targeting hyperpigmentation, this gentle laser treatment evens out your skin tone, making it ideal for a wide range of skin types and addressing concerns like melasma effectively.
Through a combination of low laser energies and multiple passes, laser toning reduces pigment production by regulating melanocytes, the cells responsible for skin pigmentation. This approach ensures long-lasting results with minimal adverse reactions and downtime.
At our Perth clinic, Academy Face and Body brings extensive expertise in facial aesthetic treatments, providing surgical, non-surgical, laser and dermal options tailored to diverse skin types and concerns. Medlite C6 Laser Toning is a non-ablative treatment that rejuvenates your skin without harming its outer layer. This technique uses light wavelengths to trigger the skin’s natural healing processes, generating deep heat within the skin. This process revitalises the upper epidermis, softens fibrous scar tissue, and diminishes wrinkles from within.
One of the key benefits of laser toning is its ability to tackle hyperpigmentation. By reducing the activity of melanocytes, the cells responsible for pigment production, laser toning improves overall skin tone and addresses concerns like melasma. Its gentle nature makes it suitable for various skin types, and with multiple passes at low energy levels, it delivers lasting results with minimal downtime and fewer adverse reactions.
One of the key advantages of laser toning is its versatility. It can be customised to suit different skin types and concerns, making it suitable for a wide range of individuals. Whether you’re dealing with sun damage, age spots, or uneven skin tone, laser toning can help address these issues effectively.
Laser toning is a relatively quick and painless procedure, with minimal downtime. Most patients can resume their daily activities immediately after treatment, making it a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles.
The benefits of laser toning extend beyond surface-level improvements. By stimulating collagen production, it promotes skin elasticity and firmness, leading to long-lasting results. Additionally, the gradual nature of the treatment allows for subtle yet noticeable enhancements, ensuring a natural-looking outcome.
Targeted Skin Rejuvenation
Precisely targets areas of concern such as fine lines, wrinkles, sunspots, and uneven skin tone.
Reduction in Melasma and Chloasma
Melasma and chloasma are common skin conditions characterised by dark patches or discolouration, often triggered by hormonal changes or sun exposure.
Lighter Pigmented Lesions
Whether it’s freckles, age spots, or other light pigmentation concerns, this treatment can help fade these imperfections, giving you clearer and smoother skin.
Improved Skin Tone and Clarity
One of the standout benefits of laser toning is its ability to improve overall skin tone and clarity. By targeting areas of uneven pigmentation and fine lines, this treatment leaves your skin looking brighter, more even-toned, and youthful.
Collagen Stimulation and Anti-Ageing Benefits
Laser toning also works beneath the surface to stimulate collagen production, leading to a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing.

The laser emits a high-intensity beam of light that penetrates your skin, specifically targeting pigmented cells. This laser energy is absorbed by the melanin pigment in these cells, breaking them down into smaller particles. Over time, your body’s natural immune system eliminates these particles, leaving you with a more even skin tone and reduced pigmentation and discolouration.
Our laser technology is safe and precise, ensuring targeted treatment without affecting surrounding skin. Sessions are quick, typically taking less than an hour, and involve minimal discomfort or downtime.
For optimal results, patients typically undergo several treatments spaced several weeks apart.

OUR PROCESS
Medlite C6 Laser Toning uses specific light wavelengths to enhance skin quality without harming the epidermis, reducing scars, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation effectively.
Medlite C6 Laser Toning is a non-ablative method of skin rejuvenation that is designed to improve the skin’s quality and texture without damaging the epidermis.
Using wavelengths of light, laser toning is a procedure that stimulates normal repair mechanisms by creating deep heat in the skin. This dermal heating leads to a toning effect on the upper epidermis. It also softens fibrous scar tissue improving depressed scars and wrinkles from the bottom up.

Everyone’s skin responds differently and is dependent on the initial condition being treated and the desired outcome, but most skin will need multiple treatments. On average Laser Toning requires 6-8 sessions at 2-4 week intervals for lighter skin types and 3-4 weeks for darker skin types.
During the Laser Toning Peel procedure you may feel a prickling sensation and heating similar to mild sunburn.
Results will vary depending on the size of the treatment area and the strength of treatment. However, most skin will experience mild redness and sensitivity for 24 hours. Some skin may also be prone to very mild purpura or bruising visible for 2-3 days.
If skin is incorrectly cared for, it can prolong the healing process and possibly lead to pigmentary changes in the skin. These are usually transient and resolve in 1-12 months. Patients must avoid heat and direct sun exposure for 48 hours post treatment.
Two weeks prior to the procedure, you will be required to prime the skin with active ingredients to maximise treatment outcomes, assist in speeding up the healing time and reducing the risk of post laser complications.
A specific skin regime will be recommended to you at your initial consultation and will include AHA’s, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and broad-spectrum SPF 30+. For dermal pigment, we recommend the use of Ultra Ceuticals Brightening Range 2 weeks prior and 4 weeks post treatment.
For 5-7 days post treatment:
Do not exfoliate or pick at peeling skin
Do not use products containing AHA’s, BHA’s, Vitamin A (Retinol), astringents or exfoliating granules
Avoid vigorous exercise, saunas, chlorinated and salt water pools, steam baths and hot showers for 48 hours following treatment
Do not expose the skin to sun
Apply sunscreen daily
Avoid waxing, IPL, Laser or depilatory creams for 2 weeks following treatment
Apply moisturiser as required (skin is best to remain moist during this time)
