The CoolPeel™ laser procedure is a type of fractional laser treatment used for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation.
During the procedure, a local or topical anesthetic can be applied to numb the treatment area and make the experience more comfortable. Additionally, a blast of cool air is often used during the procedure to further minimise discomfort.
CoolPeel™ treatments typically take about 15 minutes for a full-face session. Multiple treatments are usually recommended to achieve optimal results, and before-and-after photographs may be taken to track progress over time.

OUR PROCESS
For your comfort during treatment, you will be handed a nozzle to hold. This nozzle is attached to a therapeutical cold air machine and you will be able to direct a stream of cold air onto the treatment area/s as required during treatment. You will be free to continue cooling the treatment area/s with the cold air for a further 15 minutes after your treatment.

The Tetra CO2 laser, referred to as CoolPeel, delivers the innovative H-Pulse, a high-peak-power short pulse than can create an ablative treatment without damaging the skin that surrounds the treatment area. The fractional CO2 laser can precisely rejuvenate the skin, deeply targeting skin concerns and demanding little downtime. The treatment is considered to be less invasive than other methods, while still powerfully encouraging collagen production and rejuvenating the skin.

If you would like to treat skin concerns such as signs of aging, large pores, skin texture and pigmentation, you may be a good candidate for CoolPeel. Suitable candidates include those who:
- Have not taken strong acne treatment within three months
- Do not have permanent metal implants in the treatment area
- Are not pregnant or breast feeding
- Do not have a history of keloid scarring or difficulties with wound healing
- Do not have sunburn in the treatment area
- Do not have open wounds in the treatment area such as eczema and dermatitis
- Do not have any active skin infections in the treatment area
- Are not currently undergoing cancer or radiation therapy
- Are not using tanning medications
- Have not had surgery in the treatment area within three to six months
Those who would like to undergo a CoolPeel laser treatment should avoid waxing, IPL, injectable, and other types of laser therapy for one week before treatment.
CoolPeel is praised for its ability to deliver outstanding results with minimal downtime, so your recovery from the treatment should be painless. Your skin may appear slightly red and feel dry or scaly, but these minor irritations will improve as the skin heals and should only be noticeable for one or two days after treatment. To care for your skin, you can:
- Keep your skin hydrated
- Avoid exfoliating products for three to five days
- Apply SPF 50+ daily
We will provide you with skincare tips that are tailored to your skin type to help you prepare your skin for treatment. Make sure that you protect your skin with SPF 50+, and stop using retinol products for at least 48 hours before treatment. Avoid waxing, IPL, injectables and laser treatments for one week before CoolPeel.
CoolPeel is performed in multiple sessions, usually spaced about four to six weeks apart. Typically, a course of three to six treatments is recommended to achieve desired results.
Apart from minor redness, dryness and scaly skin, CoolPeel is associated with minimal side effects. Very rarely, and if the skin is not cared for before and after treatment, scarring or infection may occur due to delayed healing. Hyper pigmentation can be present for one to twelve months on darker skin types, therefore, we will thoroughly assess the skin before treatment and recommend a suitable preparation plan. Candidates who are prone to cold sores within the treatment area may experience a herpes simplex outbreak, so it is important to notify us of any skin conditions or sensitivities you may have prior to treatment.
