Excessive sweating is caused by overactive sweat glands, and affects millions of people around the world. While stress and high temperatures can increase perspiration, they do not cause hyperhidrosis.
An inherited trait or physiological condition that prevents the body from properly regulating its temperature, it can occur in various parts of the body including the underarms, feet and palms of the hands.
