Pigmentation is a common skin concern, particularly amongst women. Melasma, chloasma and lentigo are just a few forms of pigmentation that can occur, each of which has different causes. Dermamelan is a type of peel that can improve stubborn pigmentation that’s caused by hormonal changes and fluctuations. It’s also known to improve sun-damaged skin, reduce pore size and prevent breakouts.
During a treatment, your skin will first be cleansed, ensuring there is no oil present on the surface of the skin. The Dermamelan peel is then applied to the surface of your skin and needs to remain in place for 8 – 12 hours – you will be able to wash the peel off at home. The application process doesn’t usually take longer than 30 minutes. Before going home, your clinician will also provide you with specific aftercare products and instructions that will help you achieve your final result.
