Hyperhidrosis refers to a medical condition characterised by excessive sweating beyond what’s necessary to regulate body temperature. This condition can be uncomfortable, socially challenging, and affect various aspects of life. Anti-wrinkle injections, commonly known as wrinkle relaxers, effectively manage hyperhidrosis.
These injections are strategically administered to specific areas where excessive sweating occurs, such as the underarms, palms, feet, or face. The injections work by blocking signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands, reducing sweat production significantly.
However, not everyone with excessive sweating may be a candidate for these injections. Individuals with secondary hyperhidrosis (caused by underlying medical conditions or medications) might require different treatment approaches, addressing the root cause.
Seeking treatment at a specialised clinic like Academy Face and Body ensures a professional and tailored approach to address hyperhidrosis concerns. The clinic’s experts assess each patient’s condition and design a personalised treatment plan, offering not just relief from excessive sweating but also improving their confidence and quality of life.
Our anti-wrinkle injection treatments for hyperhidrosis involve the precise administration of a purified protein into targeted sweat glands, effectively disrupting the signals that trigger excessive sweating. This minimally invasive procedure offers a non-surgical and efficient solution to alleviate the burden of constant perspiration, empowering you to face each day with newfound confidence. The treatment is quick, virtually painless, and requires minimal downtime, making it an ideal option for those seeking a convenient and effective solution to hyperhidrosis.

Neurotoxin injections, are commonly used to treat hyperhidrosis—excessive sweating.
It’s essential to note that while anti-wrinkle injections can provide relief, they are not permanent solutions. However, many individuals find them to be an effective and relatively non-invasive option for managing the symptoms of hyperhidrosis, allowing them to regain control over their daily lives without the burden of excessive sweating.
While commonly used for the underarms, these injections can also effectively address excessive sweating to other localised regions.
**Results may vary from person to person
As for eligibility, individuals who suffer from hyperhidrosis and have not found relief through other treatments may consider anti-wrinkle injections. A consultation with a qualified medical professional is crucial to determine the suitability of this treatment based on the severity of the condition and the individual’s medical history.
The procedure is relatively quick and minimally invasive, involving multiple tiny injections in the targeted area. Results often begin to show within a few days after treatment, with the full effect typically seen within two weeks.
The duration of the effect varies among individuals but can last several months before a touch-up treatment might be needed.
WHAT IS IT?
Anti-wrinkle injections have shown remarkable effectiveness in managing hyperhidrosis. These injections work by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands, thereby reducing excessive sweating.
FOR WHO?
The treatment is typically suitable for individuals diagnosed with primary focal hyperhidrosis, which primarily affects specific areas like the underarms, palms, soles of the feet, or face.
THE RESULTS
Patients often experience a significant reduction in sweating within a few days to a week after the procedure. The effects typically last for several months, varying from person to person, but typically persist for about 4-12 months
OUR PROCESS
These injections work by blocking the signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands, thereby reducing sweat production in the targeted areas. The treatment is primarily intended for individuals experiencing excessive sweating in areas like the underarms, palms, feet, and sometimes the face.
At Academy Face and Body, we use wrinkle relaxers to minimise the effects of hyperhidrosis. During your consultation, we will first help you to identify the underlying cause of the condition. In some instances, it can be caused by certain medications. Once an alternative medication is found, the condition should subside on its own. Your general practitioner can assist you with this process. If the condition is deemed to be hereditary or a general physiological condition, wrinkle relaxers can be used to treat it.
During your treatment, a series of small injections are administered. The ingredients in wrinkle relaxer injections will prevent specific nerves from triggering the sweat glands, resulting in drier hands, feet and underarms. The number of injections required will depend on the areas that need to be treated. Overall, the treatment is quick and straightforward, meaning patients can return to work or head home directly after their appointment.
To begin with, the results will only start to take effect after about a week. From there, the results will last up to 6 months. However, this will vary between patients. In some instances, results can last up to a year. As soon as your symptoms start to return, you can schedule your next appointment.
As with any medication or treatment there may be some side effects. Because this treatment only requires a small amount of product, any side effects are usually only around the injection site and are temporary.
The most common side effects are pain or small bruises around the injection site, transient arm weakness, and a perceived increase in sweating in areas other than the underarms. All of the potential side effects of the treatment will be discussed with you during the consultation.
