AquaSilk Microneedling

Before your treatment commences, your skin will be analysed and your desired outcome discussed so that your Academy Face and Body clinician can provide you with a more personalised experience.

Once your skin has been prepped, a specialised microneedling device will be filled with a customised mixture of cosmeceuticals as well as any filler, wrinkle relaxer or platelet rich plasma that might be required to help you achieve your aesthetic goals – this will be different for everyone.

As the device is moved across your face, fine needles will inject these rejuvenating ingredients into the dermal layers of your skin. The needles can deliver ingredients up to a depth of 600 microns, allowing them to have the maximum effect. Since the needles are ultra-fine, the treatment is painless and won’t require any downtime.

The entire face, eye area, neck and décolletage can all be treated but it’s not always necessary to target each of these areas.

In most cases, patients will see a noticeable improvement in skin texture, fine lines and pore size after just one session. However, it’s quite likely that multiple treatments may be required to achieve your desired outcome.

AquaSilk is suitable for all skin types and ages and since treatments are completely customisable, everyone can benefit.

Directly after your session, there will be some redness that will look like mild sunburn but this will subside within a few hours. It’s highly recommended that you leave your face free of makeup for at least 12 hours. To avoid irritation, excessive sweating and exercise should also be avoided for at least 24 hours.
