Jodie Crook | Director of Nursing

As Director of Nursing at Academy Face and Body, Jodie Crook brings over twenty years of clinical and leadership experience across Australia and Europe. Her career has spanned emergency medicine, neonatal intensive care, day surgery, and regional travel nursing, giving her a unique breadth of perspective on patient care, safety, and service delivery across healthcare settings.

Holding a Master of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice, Strategic Leadership and Expert Practice, Jodie is deeply committed to clinical excellence, governance, and continuous quality improvement. Her experience includes senior leadership roles in London and Gibraltar and more recently Clinical Governance and Safety and Quality roles in WA.

In addition to her governance expertise, Jodie has broad hands-on experience in the perioperative and day surgery environment. Her experience at Perth Children’s Hospital exposed her to a broad range of surgical specialties including plastics, ENT, general, and orthopaedics where she developed a strong understanding of surgical safety, sterile technique, and patient flow in day procedure settings. This foundation informs her current leadership within the cosmetic surgery environment at Academy Face and Body, where she fosters a culture of quality, accountability, and compassionate care.

With postgraduate qualifications in Lifestyle Medicine, Jodie brings a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, believing that patient safety and positive surgical outcomes are inseparable from compassion, integrity, and trust. Her leadership style is collaborative and values-driven, focused on fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and kindness within the nursing team.

Jodie’s background as a travel nurse across regional WA and in high-acuity environments such as Emergency Nursing and Neonatal Intensive Care has reinforced her adaptability, problem-solving, and advocacy for safe, high-quality care regardless of context or complexity.

Beyond her professional life, Jodie cherishes being a mum to three children and a furbaby. She maintains her health through strength training and running, enjoys travelling, and is a lifelong learner who believes curiosity, resilience, and balance are essential qualities for both nurses and leaders.
