Kym Cullen NP is one of the few Nurse Practitioners and Doctors in Australia who has completed training in the innovative PRP-Shot® or PRP-Shot procedure.
The procedure was originally developed by Dr Charles Runel, whom was also responsible for the well known Vampire Facial. This PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) procedure, designed to enhance sexual intimacy is now available with Cosmetic Surgeon Dr Oates and Nurse Practitioner Kym Cullen at Academy Face & Body.
The PRP-Shot procedure can assist women by increasing sensitivity and desire, rejuvenating vaginal skin and helping with sexual intimacy.
Who is a good candidate?
A good PRP-Shot candidate is someone who is concerned with:
Low libido / sexual desire
Difficulty reaching orgasm
Difficulty becoming aroused
Appearance of their vulva skin
On the day of the procedure, firstly numbing cream is applied to the area and a sample of blood is taken. Whilst the numbing cream is given time to work, the blood is processed in a very specific manner to extract the highly concentrated Platelet Rich Plasma.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is 100% natural (from your own body) and contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors. When re-injected, PRP stimulates stem cells resulting in tissue repair, regeneration and rejuvenation.
In addition to numbing cream, local anaesthetic is used during the procedure, to ensure the patient is comfortable throughout.
The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes, which includes the consultation and procedure itself.
Is There Any Downtime?
This is designed as a no down-time procedure, however we do recommend abstaining from sexual activity for 2 – 3 days.
What’s the next step?
A consultation may be booked to discuss individual needs and desired results, and to assess the suitability of the procedure. It is at this point that the most suitable products to achieve desired results will be determined.
