Procedure details
Following your consultation, or on the day when you arrive for your procedure, a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for 10 – 20 minutes, to ensure a comfortable treatment.
Once the area is numb, your injector may temporarily mark certain points on your treatment area in order to perform a precise treatment. Your skin is then gently and thoroughly cleaned, and with precision and attention to detail, the dermal fillers are applied. The needles are very fine and each injection is quick to administer. Depending on the area being treated, your injector may then massage the area to create the desired shape or ensure the right distribution of filler. To finish off your treatment, marks that may have been made will be cleaned off, and you will be ready to walk out of the clinic with minimal discomfort, set to recover with minimal to no downtime.
Total treatment time will depend on how much filler you need, as well as your specific treatment areas and goals. Dermal fillers are considered minimally invasive and can be done in less than an hour.
Results can be seen instantly, however, the full results of your treatment will be visible once any swelling or redness has completely settled, which can take up to 14 days.
